ST STEPHEN'S, HAMPSTEAD
PRODUCER : ANTIC DISPOSITION

Antic Disposition continues its residency at St Stephen’s, Hampstead with a new production of Shakespeare's Much Ado about Nothing, which opens on Tuesday 23 June and runs until Saturday 19 July 2009.

Home from war, the dashing soldier Claudio is quick to propose to the beautiful Hero - but their celebrations are threatened by the machinations of the wicked Don John.

Can confirmed singletons Beatrice and Benedick stop sniping at each other long enough to save the day - and perhaps find love themselves, just where they least expect it? The war may be over, but the battle of the sexes has only just begun.

Antic Disposition presents of one of Shakespeare's greatest comedies – a sparkling combination of poetry, verbal and visual humour, music and song, and shot through with a darker vein that often threatens to turn this joyous comedy into a heart-rending tragedy.
